The IPHE provides a mechanism for partners to organize,
coordinate and implement effective, efficient and focused
international research, development, demonstration and commercial
utilization activities related to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.
The IPHE provides a forum for advancing policies and common
technical codes and standards that can accelerate the cost-effective
transition to a hydrogen economy; it also educates and informs
stakeholders and the general public on the benefits of, and
challenges to, establishing the hydrogen economy.
- Statement on the IPHE Website.
The IPHE Implementation-Liaison Committee met on September 22-25,
2004 in Reykjavik, Iceland to develop the Reykjavik Action Plan.
One of the recommendations in that plan is to establish a Safety,
Codes and Standards Task Force to meet and progress the scoping
paper that outlines the role of IPHE in this subject area. The
Committee requested this item be considered at the January 2005
meeting of the Steering Committee. This meeting will be held
January 25-27, 2005 in Paris, France.
Additional information on the IPHE, including meeting minutes,
