by Patrick Serfass
(Darren Meyers, ICC, contributing)

The International Code Council's 2005 Report of Public Hearings (Cincinnati) is now available. The next step for industry is to submit public comments where appropriate. Although the ICC ad hoc Committee for Hydrogen Gas will submit some public comments, if your company or interests are specifically affected by the outcome of any code change, you should submit a public comment to convey your position to the individual code committee and the ICC voting membership.

Public comments are due June 17, 2005. Additional deadlines are listed on the Hydrogen Safety Report calendar. For a listing of recommended code changes to target and a summary of issues surrounding them, please refer to the feature story in the March 2005 Hydrogen Safety Report.

Members and observers of the ICC ad hoc Committee for Hydrogen Gas will meet June 1-2, 2005 to discuss Committee positions and prepare public comments on various code modifications.
