National Hydrogen Association

On September 16, 2004, the National Hydrogen Association (NHA) and the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP) will hold a joint workshop called “Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicles in Your Neighborhood: A Southern California Community Workshop” at the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) offices in Diamond Bar, CA. The workshop is sponsored, in part, by the U.S. Department of Energy and hosted by SCAQMD.

The workshop will cover “101-type” information on hydrogen and fuel cells in the morning in addition to national and regional overviews. During lunch, ride and drives will be available, the CaFCP will launch Road Rally III and a tour of the SCAQMD fueling station. In the afternoon, the agenda will get more technical. Two concurrent sessions will cover safety, codes and standards, station installation considerations and emergency response topics. During one of the concurrent sessions, DOE will announce the west coast rollout of the new ANSI website for hydrogen codes and standards: http://hcsp.ansi.org/
