International Electrotechnical Commission’s Technical Committee 105 (IEC/TC 105) for Fuel cell technologies has re-proposed a work item proposal with an attached committee draft (CD), 105/80/NP, on Stationary fuel cell power systems — Safety (1239Kb PDF). Currently, this document is being circulated for approval among the P-members of IEC/TC 105. The U.S. has led this project through IEC/TC 105 Working Group 3 (WG-3) since the project was originally approved in 2001. As WG-3 completed its first CD a few months past its due date and TC 105 neglected to ask the IEC for a time extension, the project is now required to be re-introduced back into the TC 105 program.

TC 105 is currently seeking comments on the attached committee draft to 105/80/NP.

Also, interested experts or those interested in nominating experts wishing to join in the ongoing work of IEC/TC 105 WG-3, please provide the contact details of appointed experts to the IEC/TC 105 U.S. TAG Administrator, Steven Kazubski at: steve.kazubski@csa-america.org by 29 November 2004.

The role of these experts is to participate on WG-3, to develop the CD into an international standard. A copy of 105/80/NP may be requested by contacting Steve Kazubski at the e-mail address provided above.

In order to meet the IEC/TC 105 deadline, your reply must be received by 29 November 2004.
