What Hydrogen Code Modifications Do We Need Next?
by Patrick Serfass
National Hydrogen Association

Recently, the ICC’s Ad Hoc Committee for Hydrogen Gas had great success this year getting hydrogen modifications into the International Fire Code (IFC). Click here to view the NHA's press release.

This week in Miami, the ICC's Ad Hoc Committee for Hydrogen Gas will review existing provisions affecting the use of hydrogen as a fuel and consider new material for the basis of code changes to the 2006 Edition of the International Codes.

The ICC Ad Hoc meeting will co-locate with DOE's Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Summit VIII at the University of Miami Convocations Center, June 14th-17th, 2004. The meeting will begin on the last day of the Summit, June 17th, and continue through Friday and early Saturday, June 18th and 19th, respectively.

For more information contact Darren Meyers (ICC), 1-800-323-1103 ext. 307, dmeyers@iccsafe.org.

In addition, for the 2006 Edition of the I-Codes, the NHA requests that all interested industry stakeholders who want to recommend a modification to the existing I-Codes submit your modifications to ICC by August 20, 2004. For more information, submission instructions, forms and the like, visit:
