IEC TC 105 Update

An IEC TC 105 US TAG Teleconference was held on Thursday - June 10 to prepare the U.S. position for the annual IEC TC/105 Plenary meeting scheduled this June in Tokyo. Participants discussed the following three documents:

1) 105/69/CD, Committee Draft on Portable Fuel Cell Appliances

2) 105/70/NP, New Work Item Proposal for creation of a new international working group to draft a standard on the Performance of Micro Fuel Cell Power

3) 105/71/DA, Draft Tokyo Agenda for 2004 IEC/TC-105 Plenary Meeting

In addition to the three agenda items listed above, the group was reminded of the following additional TC 105 documents for action:

A) 105/72/NP, New Work Item Proposal for creation of a new international working group to draft a standard on the Interchangeability of Micro Fuel Cell Power Systems. US TAG members are asked to submit any comments on this document by July 16 along with an affirmative or negative vote. Several US manufacturers agreed to serve on this working group, should the item be approved by the voting members of the Technical Committee. If you would like to become a US Expert and serve on this new proposed working group, please indicate so by e-mail by Friday - July 16 to:

B) 105/73/FDIS, Final Draft International Standard on Fuel Cell Modules Participants were asked to submit by e-mail any comments on this document by Friday - July 9 along with an affirmative or negative vote.
