Mixed Results for International Standards for Hydrogen Tanks

ISO TC 197 has reported the results of voting on ISO/DIS 15869 Gaseous hydrogen and hydrogen blends —Land vehicle fuel tanks. This is a five-part standard, with each part voted separately. The results of the voting are shown below:

Member bodies voting: 5 negative votes out of 14 = 35.71% (requirement <= 25%)
Disapproved
ISO/DIS 15869-2 Gaseous hydrogen and hydrogen blends — Land vehicle fuel tanks — Part 2: Particular requirements for metal tanks P-Members voting: 10 in favor out of 12 = 83.33% (requirement >= 66.66%)

Member bodies voting: 3 negative votes out of 13 = 23.07% (requirement <= 25%)

The comments received by all member countries for all five parts will be returned to the joint ISO/TC 197, ISO/TC 58 SC3 and ISO/TC 22 working group for its consideration.
