DOE C&S Solicitation Focuses on Sensors

The Golden Field Office of the U.S. Department if Energy has issued Solicitation Number DE-PS36-04GO94000, HYDROGEN SAFETY, CODE AND STANDARDS RESEARCH.

Proposals are due May 20, 2004 on activities described in the solicitation. Eligible activities include specific research in hydrogen sensors, pipeline materials and sensors, and process plant sensors.

The overall goal is to develop low-cost sensor technologies that are not based on conventional practices, that can be directly integrated with hydrogen systems, and that are resistant to contaminants.

Approximately $2,000,000 per year for each of three years (FY 2005, FY2006, and FY2007) is anticipated to be available for this activity.
