NHA Announces New Codes and Standards Committee Chair

The National Hydrogen Association is pleased to announce that Dr. Susan Townsend has agreed to Chair the NHA Codes & Standards Committee. Dr. Townsend became the GE representative to the National Hydrogen Association and was elected to the NHA Board of Directors when GE joined the NHA as an Industry Member in 2002. Dr. Townsend was named to lead the Hydrogen Energy Advanced Technology Program for GE at GE Global Research.

Dr. Townsend is already working closely with Karen Hall and Patrick Serfass to understand the current status of activities and funding. NHA Director involvement as Chair of the Codes & Standards Committee is designed to further increase the visibility and impact of the NHA Codes & Standards activities. Assuring alignment of Committee priorities with the NHA membership goals is critical in an environment of fluctuating government financial support and increasing global activity in hydrogen codes and standards.
