ASME Holds Hydrogen Infrastructure Workshop

OASME recently formed a Hydrogen Steering Committee. A Hydrogen Infrastructure Workshop was held on the topic of The State of Technology and Standards Development, on January 13, 2003 in Washington, DC.

Objectives of the Workshop were:

  • To provide an forum for discussion and networking among representatives of Standards Development Organizations, industry and government involved with hydrogen infrastructure

  • To produce an action plan for the use of existing standards and development of new standards to support a hydrogen infrastructure.
ASME is planning its first conference on fuel cell technology to be held April 21-22, 2003 in Rochester, NY. The conference website address is: www.asme.org/fuelcell and its focus will be on the technology with one panel on codes and standards.
