PATH to Contribute to Hydrogen Codes and Standards Matrix
by Karen Miller, National Hyrogen Association
The Partnership for Advancing the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH) is off to an ambitious start. The group, which held its organizational meeting of the Board of Directors in Montreal on June 9, 2002, has taken up the challenge to contribute information on the hydrogen codes and standards activities of its member countries. The
Matrix is intended to be a useful tool for quickly determining which codes and standards apply to a particular application, and identify where overlaps or gaps may exist. The Hydrogen Codes and Standards Coordinating Committee seeks to expand the Matrix to include requirements from countries outside the United States. The effort by PATH is expected to go a long way to identify relevant hydrogen codes and standards in Canada and Japan, and may be expanded as other countries become members of PATH.
